Why do so many big league BB players look so crappy in their uniforms?
I was watching a replay of the 1988 world series, LA Dodgers Vs Oakland A's,and I was very impressed with how spiffy every player, on both teams, looked in their well-fitting uniforms, complete with leggings. That was 20 yrs ago. Today, many of them look worse than some of the homeless bums you see on the streets of San Fran.(did I hear someone say Manny Ramirez?) When, during the past 20 yrs did this change from looking like neat well dressed professional athletes, to looking like bums began to take place? Baseball players are definitely the worst appearing of all athletes. NFL & NBA players look like pros, not sleaze bags. What's the answer?
The players look fine compared to the Managers. Why are people like Joe Torre required to wear a uniform? The guy is pushing 70 years old!
